Oh and I also finally got my nose pierced! I wanted to do it for ages and in November I finally did, but I had to take it out again after just a little while because of upcoming interviews...such a shame I loved it!
But yeah, other than that nothing too exciting happened, not that I can remember right now.
In Germany we celebrate Christmas on the 24th of December, in the evening. Before that we have lunch and dinner with the family and so on. This year me and my host family celebrated a little German Christmas for me at the 24th, I opened presents my family sent me and for dinner we had some Schnitzel. I felt very German, a very happy German!
The next morning we opened stockings (basically massive socks!). With the rest we waited until my host dad would be back from work, my host mums parents came over and we had Christmas dinner, with obviously food and them Christmas crackers. It wasn´t too different expect the day if I´m honest. I had a nice time.
Both of these days I skyped with different parts of my family, it was weird to not be with them but it was good to see them after so long, even if it was just over Skype. Also it didn't really feel like Christmas at all this year. It was warm like it was in September, even tho we baled Christmas cookies and everything it didn't help. I'm glad I wasn't the only one feeling not festive at all, maybe next time. π
The 26th was the last day for me in England for 2015, because I went home after four months for some interviews and to celebrate New Year's with my family. I've may been a bit to worried about the upcoming journey, I had to travel through London for about 3 1/2 hours and needed to change three times. I was so scared as I never traveled through London like this before and not on my own either but I can spoil one thing, I made it and I survived!! π The five hours waiting at the airport for my flight nearly killed me tho, I've never been so bored and tired! But I'll tell you about it all in my next post!
