I have to say I got used to my life here very fast, my host-family and my friends here made it very easy for me to feel homely and not homesick at all! Of course I had moments where I wish I could have been home but I knew I can always count on my Family and friends to cheer me up.
I celebrated my 17th birthday here lately and I have to say I enjoyed my day but it didn't feel like my birthday. I didn't get that exciting feeling in my stomach. It was weird having my Family and friends from Germany just texting me or calling me on Facetime instead of actually being with them but I had a really really nice day with my friends here in England and a lovely dinner with my host-family! It was dif´ferent, yes but different doesn't always mean bad!
This isn't my actual birthday dinner which my Family made for me but we had 'Schnitzel' the day after and I had some gurkins with it which my grandparents from Germany sent me. I felt and ate very german! :)
And of course 'Baumkuchen' with Hariobo's inside, haha :D
Thinking of leaving England again in three months breaks my little german heart. Of course I'm looking Forward to see my Family and my friends again but leaving England now is different to when I left Germany six months ago. Back then I knew I'll be coming back in summer but now I don't have a date safe where I know I'll be coming back. My host-family and I have such a strong relationship, they're my second Family and same with my new friends here, I love them to pieces and can't imagine not seeing them anymore. It makes me so sad but I hope that they'll visit me in Germany sometime and I'll come back to England to visit me.
I'm gonna make my last three months to the best, go and see the places I want to see and haven't seen yet, eat lots of Food and take millions of pictures but most importantly have fun!!
